  • General Announcements

    Any student who has not picked up their PSAT score or booklet, go see Ms. Hurbert as soon as the bell rings. 

    The Tutoring Clinic is open today in the library from 3:05 -4:00.  Please drop by if you need help with any help. Our NHS tutors will be there.

    Those students planning on going to Mass and the March in Birmingham this Saturday. Please stop by the front office and pick up a permission slip. These slips must be returned by Thursday.

    The complete science fair schedule for Thursday evening is posted on the doors to the vending area and is also posted on the Google Classroom class pages.  Please see Mr. Finzel if you have any questions.

    Yearbooks are now $75. All sales are through Balfour.com, no purchase should be made via JP2. Senior ad sales are now open. The last day to order a yearbook is Friday, Jan. 31. See Coach Burks if you have any questions. 

    Club Announcements

    Mu Alpha Theta will have a chapter meeting this Thursday (come either before school from 7:15-7:45 or after school from 3:15-3:45). We will also be working on projects during the activity period on Thursday if you are available.

    "Attention School Newspaper editors: We will meet in Mr. Maguire's room today and Friday immediately after school. If any students are interested in being an editor, writer, or photographer, feel free to join us!"

    Students taking the National Spanish exam, the deadline for payment is today!!! Make sure you bring in your $6.00 to the front office. 

    Latin Club will meet today after school. Nathanael Pichette and James Cannon are scheduled to bring snacks. 

    Chess Club 1 will meet this Friday during Activity Period. If you are not sure if you are in Chess Club 1 or 2, please see the lists posted on the library door. If you don't see your name, see Mrs. Powers.

    The NHS meeting on Thursday during activity period will be held in the music room.

    General Announcements

    There will be an Out of Uniform day tomorrow. Help us fight cold and flu season at JPII! Students are asked to donate TWO of the following items: facial tissue box (200 count size or larger); disinfectant wipes (75 count size); or paper towels (larger rolls) to participate in the out of uniform day. Remember, out of uniform rules apply; check the handbook is you are unsure what those rules are!

    Attention students! You should have received an email with a Google form regarding the Pro Life Mass and March in Birmingham this Saturday, January 18. Please take a moment to complete the form so that we can plan the transportation, supervision, etc. The details are in the Google form. Even if you don't plan on going, please let us know. Thank you!

    Congratulations to the Girls and Boys basketball teams on their victories over Danville Friday night. Come out to the games tomorrow night as the Falcons take on the Tigers of Madison County. JV Boys get the night started with a 4:30 tip-off. 

    Wish the Track Team “Good Luck” as they compete in a meet tomorrow at the Crossplex in Birmingham.
