Pope John Paul II Catholic High School offers a wide range of sports, including basketball, baseball, cheerleading, cross country, dance, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field and volleyball.
The school's athletes have distinguished themselves as viable competitors at the local, state and regional levels, with state-ranked teams in cross country, golf, boys' and girls' soccer, tennis, swimming and volleyball. A member of the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA), the school now competes in the 4A classification.
