    General Announcements

    Friday is the last day to purchase a yearbook! All sales are through Balfour.com, no purchase should be made via JP2. 37 seniors have not purchased a yearbook as of today. There will be NO extra yearbook for sale when the yearbooks come in. See Coach Burks if you have any questions. 

    Members of the Pro-life club, Broken and Shared, or anyone who to like to sing, please pick up a permission slip in the front office if you are going mass caroling THIS WEDNESDAY!

    Hoopcoming tickets go on sale tomorrow, $15 per ticket.

    The Tutoring Clinic is open today in the library from 3:05 -4:00.  Please drop by if you need help with any help. Our NHS tutors will be there.

    Guidance Announcements

    Seniors, please turn in all acceptances and scholarship letters to the counseling office

    There will be an out-of-uniform day Feb.4th for the College Fair and the cost is $3. Students may wear college sweatshirts or t-shirts with blue jeans. Please comply with the out-of-uniform codes in the student handbook.

    College Fair is coming Feb. 5th from 5-7 PM In the gym. This is a free event and there is no registration for the event. Please see the posters around school for the colleges attending the fair. 

    Mississippi State University will be here during both lunches on Friday 1/31.

    Club Announcements:

    Broke and Shared will be practicing today after school in the Music room. If you are interested in singing or being an instrumentalist, please come. 

    Members of Chess Club 1 will have their yearbook photo taken this Wednesday, January 29, at 7:40 a.m. in the library.

    Members of NHS will have their yearbook photo taken this Thursday, January 30, at 7:40 a.m. in the library.

    Sports Announcements

    Congratulations to Josh Price on being voted AL.com player of the week! 

    Basketball travels to Madison County this afternoon, be sure to wish them luck! 

    Clear your schedules and come out to the basketball game Thursday night as we celebrate our Seniors! Both the Girls and Boys Varsity teams will take on the North Jackson Chiefs starting at 6! 

    Congratulations to our wrestlers on their performance on Friday! Robert Goebel, Will Simmons, Gabi Delany, and Joe Skarupa had impressive pins with several others putting up outstanding wins!  Wrestling travels to Arab on Thursday for their last team dual of the season! 

    Congratulations to Joe Skarupa on being named the TOC Sports and Huntsville Hospital Sport Center Athlete of the Week!

    General Announcements

    A reminder that Tuesday is out of uniform if you show teacher appreciation by dressing like your teachers.  All dress should be in good taste and encourage Catholic beliefs while showing appreciation for your teachers.  Due to the amazing fashion of the teachers, athletic wear, scrubs and dresses with leggings under dresses/skirts will be allowed.

    Math Team and Mu Alpha Theta, round 2 of the Log 1 Math Contest will be this Friday during the activity period or after school.

    Chess Club 2 will meet Friday during Activity Period.  If you don't know whether you are in Chess Club 1 or 2, please see the lists on the library door.  If you don't see your name, please see Mrs. Powers.

    Other clubs meeting today are Thespian Society and National Art Honor Society

    Come out tonight as we celebrate our Senior wrestlers. They have a quad dual against Sparkman, Piedmont, and New Hope at JPII starting at 4:00pm.

    Wish our Basketball teams luck as they travel to Scottsboro this afternoon.

JPII Feast Day Poems

Several students submitted original works for the St. John Paul II Feast Day poem competition. The top four poems were from Alexis McFeely, Emily Bradbury, Michael Durant and PJ Tisler.
