Homecoming 2017

 

 

 

Saturday, October 28th and Sunday, October 29th 12-4 pm - Hallway Decorating!  Students began the week working together in their grades to bring school spirit to the hallways.  The competition is judged on Monday morning.  All decorations must come down Friday afternoon.  

 

Sunday, October 29th-6-9pm - at the school--BONFIRE.  We are excited to invite all students, parents, future students, alumni and anyone who wants to see our school spirit light up the sky.  

We are excited to have 3 foodtrucks: Manic Organic, What's Poppn, and SugarBelle.  

So come hungry and ready for the beginning of the spirit competitions. 

Current students, please sign in to receive spirit points:

  • Freshmen-please wear a White shirt

  • Sophomores-please wear a Green shirt

  • Juniors-please wear a Gray shirt

  • Seniors-please wear a Black shirt

Tuesday, October 31st - Greatest HALLOWEEN Costume

 

Wednesday, November 1st -  MASS DAY WITH MASS UNIFORM, students are allowed to wear out of uniform crazy socks.

 

Thursday, November 2nd - Greatest Movie Character Day, the endless possibilities. .Disney, Action, Superheros, and anyone from your favorite movie

 

Friday, November 3rd--Get ready to show your school spirit!!!  Only 2017 spirit shirt is allowed for students!  If you did not purchase a shirt, you must come in uniform.  Come ready with your Falcon Pride to get excited before the game!

Game at 7 pm at Discovery Middle School

 

Saturday. November 4th-Dance at JPII from 7-11 PM - All students must arrive by 8 pm.  

 

Dance​ ​Dress​ ​Code:​ ​JPII Dance attire must​ ​adhere to the following guidelines: -No mini-skirts (skirts no more than five inches above the knee) -No see-through, spandex, skin-tight, lingerie-type apparel ​ ​-No dresses/skirts with excessive slits -No bare midriff or crop top shirts or cut-out designs -Modest neckline; no plunging necklines. -Gentlemen are expected to be in a button down shirt and slacks All dress must be consistent with Christian morality, modesty, and good taste. Parents of a student whose dress is deemed inappropriate by the chaperones will be contacted and the student will be required to leave the dance. Absolutely no outside containers. Any student found under the influence or in possession of drugs, tobacco, or alcohol will be detained and released only to a parent or guardian. A meeting date and time will be set with the student and parent or guardian to determine appropriate consequences. Students choosing to engage in inappropriate dance behavior will be removed from the dance floor and may not be allowed to attend the next school dance. Other disciplinary action may be taken as deemed necessary by the administration. Students are expected to be orderly and courteous toward all supervisory personnel, students, faculty, and parents.

 

2017​ ​Homecoming​ ​Out​ ​of​ ​Uniform​ ​Guidelines

*All​ ​outfits​ ​must​ ​be​ ​modest​ ​and​ ​respectful​ ​or​ ​Catholic​ ​teachings​ ​and​ ​beliefs
All​ ​costumes,​ ​logos,​ ​wording​ ​needs​ ​to​ ​be​ ​appropriate​ ​and​ ​respectful
In addition to the Out of Uniform Guidelines in the student planners:

Modest neckline
Midriffs must be covered
All clothing must be free from holes and rips
Closed toe footwear only
No skin-tight apparel (includes pants and tops)
No sweatpants or sagging pants
No nighttime/pajama clothing
No bare midriff

No strapless tops, spaghetti straps or tank tops

For​ ​homecoming​ ​week​ ​only,​ ​the​ ​following​ ​exceptions​ ​will​ ​be​ ​made:

*Wednesday is MASS DAY, only socks are out of uniform. Demerits will be given for any student not in MASS UNIFORM

Face painting ( NOT FULL COVERAGE) is allowed on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Masks are allowed on Tuesday and Thursday, but no masks may be worn in the classroom

Hats are allowed with costumes, but at any time a teacher asks a student to remove the hat, they must immediately
If a skirt or dress is part of a costume, the length must be to the knee when standing with shorts or leggings underneath the dress or skirt

Shorts are allowed with costumes, but the length must be to the knee

Any student found to be out of uniform, will be given the opportunity to change or will be given a lab coat to wear over their outfit
