So, what happens on spiritual retreats? You can almost always expect time for quiet reflection, as well as input from a speaker, a Catholic publication and the Gospel. The JPII guided retreat will offer exercises or questions for processing life experiences or relationships to bring each student a better understanding of their relationship with God. The JPII Retreat Team (Senior classmates under the guidance of Mrs. Romei, Theology Department Chair) works diligently to plan and execute retreats that are fun, but with a purpose.
While there is always time for individual prayer, there is also time for group sharing in which participants are encouraged, consoled, or inspired by the thoughts and experiences of others. Each class participates annually in a retreat throughout the year; allowing our students to explore their relationship with Christ and to grow in spirit, mind and body.
